Emergency Preparedness

It is everyone’s responsibility to be personally prepared for emergencies. Major emergencies and disasters can strike quickly and without warning. We may have to evacuate our neighborhood or be forced to “stay-in-place.” Basic services of water, gas, electricity, and telephones may be interrupted; our police and fire departments may be handling crises away from Hancock Park.

Through our Block Captain network, we support neighbors helping neighbors. Block Captains may organize meetings to make block-by-block plans and distribute information. If you would like to help your block captain or volunteer to be one, please contact Jen DeVore at jendevore@gmail.com. Current block captains are listing under the Block Captain tab.
